Swot Wac...

Argh...the pain of knowin that exams are only a week away, however the pressure isnt quite enough to make you piss in your pants...jk...

Swot Wac is here, dont really know what it stands for. For us, it just means a week of holidays to bum around b4 friday comes along and you realised that you havent studied shit...you panic, possibly piss in your pants...and start doing all niters with lots of consumption of V and redbull. Anyways...yeah...dont know what SWOTWAC is...i know whats a S.W.O.T analysis though. Through business management....strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats...but pretty sure it doesnt apply here...

Anyhows, have been studying a bit, plan to pick up the pace tomorrow. Starting to feel the pressure bit by bit but not so much yet though....dont reli know why too...i should reli be shitting myself right now, considering i havent been studying this whole semester...

MSN and eBay isnt good during SWOTWAC. Been surfing so much and chatting so much....aint healthy man. Its funny how...things that you wont usually buy...you would buy during swotwac...things that you dont even considering needing or wanting..you would want during this period of time. Apparently thats what they call retail therapy...and i got a feeling that i am going through that right now. Considering i am actually looking up second hand ibooks and laptops on ebay is a sign that i am desperate of retail therapy...haha...bought a basketball jersey though for 60 some aussie bucks....worth it cause its the authentic nba jersey, one that the players wear, and one that will cost around 165 USD...and im only paying 60AUD for it...hahaha...SCORE!!!

Been watching NBA the past week or so....cause they are showing the miami-detroit game...eastern conference finals. My idol Dwayne wade has been nothing less than spectacular all throughout the series man...i respect him totally as he dominates the game. i also like him cause he isnt as snobbish as other ppl like..lebron james and stuff...ppl who keeps hogging up the ball...keep shooting...keep showing stupid faces after they made a tough shot. Wade is much more a quiet player..and lets his game do the talking. He also passes the ball much more...and realises when to shoot and when not to shoot!!! and he is also very humble..doesnt talk about scoring points..but talks about winning games!!!RESPECT!!! Apart from that, i also placed a 10 dollar bet on TAB that miami will win the NBA finals... its not that im a compulsive gambler...i guess....once in a while aint all that bad...and i aint gambling with huge amounts of money....besides..its the team i support...AND!!! the odds are 7-1...that means if i win i get back 70 dollars...making a profit of 60 dollars..how cool is that!hahahhaa!!!

Been in the mood for cooking this couple a days....will start cooking tomolor..or tonite....!!can cook either...mapo tofu....mince beef fried with basil and chili..random stuff here and there. Bought frozen unagi to try out too...hahahha..so hungry!!!man.i swear i have put on so much weight this sem its not funny anymore..!!!

Been listening to lots of jazz....chinese music lately...Not much R&B for some reason. Probably its because im trying to calm myself down to study or something like that......

Ah well..that sorta my update for now!!!ta...

Guilty conscience...

Its really shockin how time flies by so fast...one minute your back in oweek having a blast with newbies in college,no worries in your mind whatsoever, no studies to do...the next minute...your stuck in your room wondering how the semester flew by, with me slacking again...and the thought of...is it too late...lingers in your head...

Well, thats what i have been feeling lately...Finally broke the news to my mum yesterday, told her that i have failed one of my sub...concepts in software developement. She asked me why...and i told her the truth...that i never attended classes...that i never did bother attending classes and all...and this was what she said...

To do the test, or go to classes and fail...that is still understandable...but not to even try...now thats wrong...

And i guess...she is absolutely right... I never really tried...

Whats even worst...is that...she took it well...of course...she is sad and all..but she didnt get angry at all...which was what i was hoping for...for her to get pissed. At least it wouldnt make me feel so guilty as i feel right now. Think its a thing that parents do...they do know how to switch your guilty conscience plug on and make you feel even shitter than before.

Ah well...as for now...all i have to look forward to is my exams...wouldnt say im trying super hard...but im putting in the effort...bit by bit i guess. And the rest...well...we will see i guess...

IH badminton

On the 12th of may...IH defended their crown of badminton champs...beating trinity 3-2 in the finals to clinch its glory!!!

Well, it was an awesome day that i must say. The built up to it...the training that we all had to go through!! Victory has never tasted to sweet!!!

All wasnt easy i must say. Training started weeks before.We knew we had our work cut out for us because trinity is really strong and we needed to field in a strong team. It was also the first year that they implemented mix badminton instead of single sex badminton...so in order to win...we needed to have a strong mens and womens team...

Training was a pain in the ass. I was asked to take over and organise the team. Had to wake up at 7am in the morning day after day for badminton training...for someone who doesnt even wake up at 7 for classes, waking up 4 days in a row is somewhat an achievement!

Then there was narrowing and choosing the team to play for IH. This was quite complicated....as for the mens, we knew that James martin, Fang and Pat were in, but me, dharen and david was sorta on the same line as each other...and for the girls, we knew that kaori and erina was in...but wasnt sure about the rest...in the end, me and Fang went with our gut feeling and chose...Fang and Kat for mix doubles, Kaori and Erina for womens doubles, Veta for womens singles. As for me, pat , dharen and James...it was all on rotation...

Then came real proper training where we had to work out our partnership and our shots. It was really fun i reckon cause all of us made improvements to our game...I also trained the womens doubles constantly...not because they were japs, but because we knew that they would be the decider of our game plan of beating trinity.

Matchday came on the 7th of may...day after cafe...with me and pat having a lil hangover look on our faces...and just about all of us having just under 4 hours of sleep the nite b4...we faced UC in the 1st round....piss easy...i played singles and thrashed their singles....hahaha....me and my vanity! but it was true....thing was..we wanted to finish everything ASAP so we can get more rest in between for the next match...went on to win them easily...after that came ormond...and we won that easily too. While all this were going our way...we were still practising our doubles constantly as that was our tactic and our strategy to win. After that...we had st hildas....i played singles again....meeting mr Matt Walkerden....my mate from high school. funny how we used to play doubles together...same boarding school...next door to me actually..hahaha! Sadly to say...we didnt care who was it we were playing...we just wanted to win..and we did exactly that!!!

The next week came along...with us having a couple of training sessions. I was going to rest for the finals agaisnt trinity...and dharen was going to be our singles to face state player marty from trinity. I pretty much had the job of training the girls doubles in order to make em a....sure win combo!!!

Finals came along...tension built up really high. We had a massive turn out of supporters....which was really good in comparison to the token ...8 to 10 ppl who turned up last year. we even had...coursemate friends of erina....Ex Ihers...tutors who came to watch....im guessing we had...50 odd supporters....really helped and i would like to thank each and everyone of them for coming to support...you really did us good!!!

Fang and Kat won their match easily....while dharen gave his token effort before losing to marty. Next was the mens doubles....which came down to ....nothing at all. They were really easy to the point pat and james didnt even break sweat!!! My biggest shock came when i realised that trinity didnt put their strongest women for singles....and instead she was going to play doubles. This was a risk that they were taking cause we stood a chance of wining their singles now..which would make it 3-1 before the womens doubles played..and we would win the competition there and then...Veta lost the 1st set...before coming back to win the 2nd. She held a 10-1 lead in the decider rubber b4 suddenly collapsing to lose it 15-10...still wondering how that was possible.

And there it was...it was coming down to the wire with our womens doubles facing a must win situation. We lost our 1st set to trinity...as their best womens player showed what she was made off...playing each shot perfectly and aiming it at erina...who couldnt keep up...Me being their coach..i was really nervous till the point that i almost pissed in my pants...kidding!!!:D I talked the girls through it....told them what i wanted them to do...told them to hit the ball at the token white girl on the other team..and not play it to the other player...which i believe was a uni player of some sort...Even with that....we had to endure a nail biting 2nd set....tied 13 all....our womens doubles finally pulled through..execute our game plan...and won the set 15-13...and made me a tactical genius somewhat...hahaha!

3rd and final set came along...With all the supporters cheering our cutest doubles ever....couz they were japs...or prob couz they were so polite and smiley ...that the crowd was actually confused whether they were winning or losing cause either way..they were still smilling...or couz they performed the morning mussume dance to perfection the night before...It was picture perfect....with them..."screaming" haik each and everytime...with them....showing hand signals...before each and every serve...with the crowd randomly doing random dance move from their dance the nite before....one of which is branded...the new "chicken/duck dance" with the rest of the team mates shouting "hakujin yarou" which means..hit ...white...or something like that....basicaly we wanted them to hit all the balls to the token white girl...hahaa! but yeah...our womens doubles...played to perfection...and with the crowd screaming..drum rolling(thanks char) behind them...we executed our plays to perfection....and beat trinity 15-9!!! everyone screamed when we won our last point!!! it was awesome..everyone jumping around....hugs thrown everywhere!!! tears even!!!it was just...splendid!!!

Firstly...would like to thank all the supporters who came to support...we really appreciated it..and u know and i know...that you did make a difference in what was a deadknot match!!! I also want to thank tutor charlie for supporting all our moves!! thanks to student club for having faith in us...giving us lots to spend!!! on shuttles and court hire.... to the team!! thanks...for comin for training...for showing up at random meetings to talk things through!!!To Fang....for helping me with the analysis of our strategy....for pat and james for thrasing each and every opponent they met...for dharen for his effort agaisnt marty....for veta...for trying her best!!!and lastly...to the cutest doubles in IH sporting history ever!!!for having the patience to listen to my long strategic talks...and for enduring my...scolding once in a while.....i only did it cause i knew you were much better than that!!and thanks for making me a coach extraodinare!!!!Love the times!!!!

Hey guys...

Just realised yesterday that i have totally neglected my blog...for a very very very long time. 2 months or so i reckon. Just totally neglected it...Thats it...from now on...updates will come really really often i promise.

Also been told by jeannie..that apparently my blog is boring...couz i keep introducing ppl...well...to hell with that then...haha...sorry jeannie...didnt get to introduce you!haha!!!

moving on...what has happened in the past 2 months? me being slack would take lots of priority in this sector. Let me see...uni life...is as always...me not attending classes and now seating on the edge of getting knocked out of uni for failing too many subs. Doing assignments too last minute and needing so much help from everyone. However, i have to admit that im quite happy with one of my subject, organisational analysis and change. Its really quite interesting, our tutor is really really good. And i have actually been attending classes. Reason for this is...tutorials are compulsory...80 percent of them...its a hurdle to pass the subject. So i actually attended one of them, and found it interesting...been to classes ever since...haha!

Cafe wasnt too far back either. Did a saturday night fever dance, with about 23 other people. Went really well...was bloody hard to learn thats for sure!! but in the end , everything paid dividends, the dance was great, cafe was awesome!!! Cant really compare to last year, i reckon last years cafe was really good too...but both are really good in different aspects. On one hand, this years crowd was much more lively as most of them are ex IHers or IHers parents in comparison to snob ass rotarians from last year. But yeah...all went out with a bang!!!

Oooh...mum came down for cafe too. Was really a good week for me, mum was here to take care of me cause i have been sick the whole bloody semester. I swear to you...out of the past 10 weeks, i have been sick ....7 weeks outta 10 i reckon. Which isnt good. Well, mum came down...went out to eat practically everyday. It was either going out to eat or she would cook food and bring it over to my apartment to eat with my friends. All was good. She even brought cakes and tarts and random sweets for everyone too...thanks mum!!!

SWOT WAC is coming up soon enough...more like...7 days time. Started mine about a week ago now. Going pretty good i reckon, kinda updating myself with all the work that i have been missing out the whole semester, just hope that ill be able to do it in time. Wish me luck i guess!

What else...personaly life wise...all is good!!!hahhaa..no updates on that...doubt theres ever any...me and my lack of a happening life to get anyone!hahaha!nevermind...according to sheanee...i ihave to be more optimistic...and so i will!

Thats the short update i guess...and i was just kidding bt the introduction of ppl. Dont ask me why i do it..but i just want too...for fun!hahahaand as for what i promised 2 months ago about oweek...see how..i might write on it if i do feel like it..hahahhaa!
